"Hi Everybody! A Bad Medicine Podcast" It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia: Charlie's Home Alone & The Gang Wins the Big Game "The Penguin has kidney stones That's canon." Podcast Episode 2020

Unfortunately, it tumbles over and the beer spills. In a desperate attempt to finish his colours, Charlie resorts to drinking his own urine. The remainder of the episode is a cringe-worthy obstacle course in which Charlie simultaneously attempts to get to the TV while finding ghetto alternatives for his game day rituals.

A Christmas Story follows 9-year-old Ralphie Parker who is desperate to convince his parents that a Red Ryder Range 200 Shot BB gun is the perfect gift for him. The standout scene from this film comes towards the end of the story, when the Parker family's turkey is gobbled up by their next-door neighbor's army of dogs. I love my football, but I would never go through any of that if it guaranteed a win for the boys. Nothing like some classic hijinks from a stupid character to make a half hour fly by. I am very intrigued to see what the second half of this story has to offer.

Overall not in the best episodes of the show, but one of the high points of the season for me. Keep an open mind and wait for part 2 this week before writing this one off as a sign that Always Sunny is "dead". Charlie hears noises from the basement but assures himself this is just his imagination. Then a couple of regulars appear, wanting to go to Paddy's. Seeing them outside, Charlie is convinced he needs to protect the bar. He devices a complex torture plan for the bar, consisting of strings strung across the whole bar and numerous traps, including a bear trap.

As he is about to drink he hallucinates the cardboard cut-outs of Jason Kelce and Beau Allen coming alive and telling him to drink. After Charlie has drunken his piss, they tell him to turn on the TV. Charlie questions if he really needs to since he has already done all his color superstitions, but they tell him they would have never gotten so far without his rituals. Charlie makes his way across the bar to the TV, getting hit by numerous traps he set up in the process.

This one was almost unbearably boring. Nothing like other Charlie-centric episodes. I mean, Charlie Work and Flowers for Charlie? The writers of this episode should be ashamed.

Also, I know this is a comedy and doesn't always have the biggest character consistency but Charlie is straight up idiotic in this one... It’s the weekend of Super Bowl LII from Charlie’s perspective. While Charlie searches the back office, Cricket steals the suit leaving Charlie home alone to defend himself. Then he notices the rat is brown...and eats it without further ado. Shortly after that the reactions from outside tell Charlie the Eagles have scored. On his way to the TV, however, Charlie begins to vomit out parts of the rat and passes out again.

If the episode isn't great...but also isn't bad...7 is fine. 8's, 9's and 10's episodes are usually what i would recommend to someone who doesn't know the show very well. As damn near perfect as you could get. Ive given sunny probably 15 or so 10 stars.

As a long time and hardcore Sunny fan, I was laughing consistently throughout this episode after the point where Charlie got left alone. Definitely one of the best so far in what is looking to be potentially one of the worst seasons, and I don't think the amount of hate this episode is getting here is fair. Charlie's performance in this episode is fantastic and that alone made it great for me. Looking forward to next weeks continuation.

The best and only good episode of season 13 is 'Times up for the gang'.... Unfortunately, that title rings true.. In "Charlie's Home Alone" the gang takes off for the Super Bowl, accidentally leaving Charlie at the bar by himself. Thinking robbers are trying to get in, Charlie sets up a bunch of traps and accidentally gets his leg snared in a bear trap.

A Christmas Story - 1983, "The Turkey Scene"

Despite the fact that he’s an adult man, Charlie goes full Home Alone almost immediately. It never once occurs to him that his friends are at the game. Instead of driving to the stadium, he searches everyone’s apartment and then makes his way back to the bar. Soon, two jamokes who resemble the Wet Bandits come knocking at Paddy’s door, leading Charlie to believe that the bar is going to be robbed. He goes into full protection mode, setting up traps all over the bar that resemble Kevin McAllister’s… but are also very much the work of Charlie Kelly. Is Charlie just a grown up Kevin, brain addled with glue and alcohol?

I live near Philly and think it's awesome it's placed near here. Yes this episode was only Charlie based. However, did anyone realize the WHOLE season alludes to the Eagle's Superbowl win? I think they've mentioned it in every episode this season thus far. This episode isn't Sunny's greatest, but it's adding up to a GREAT season. Stop hating the show you love, it doesn't have one foot in the grave.

Our Core Beliefs on Safety Education

An alarm for the start of the game wakes him up. It’s now night-time and the race is on for Charlie to complete his colour ritual and help the Eagles to victory. This week’s episode of Philly is a parody of the classic 90’s film Home Alone. Bearing in mind, this is one of the few episodes in the series that gets left with a “To Be Continued” at the end and runs a bit shorter. Let’s see how a resourceful Charlie Kelly copes with being left Home Alone. Next week we’ll no doubt catch up with the rest of the gang, and it’s quite possible that this storyline can – and will – be redeemed.

None of the episodes have been written by Glenn Howerton, Rob McElhenney or Charlie Day. No one understands the characters better than they do, which is why they usually end up writing the best episodes. I hope the next season is better, or they decide to quit while they are still ahead.

The things he did in this episode take that way too far. In the early seasons there is an episode where he is filling in a form and he list's Paddy's Pub as the prize, because, he thought it said pride. The gang then have to win a dance competition just to keep their own bar.
